| Lying in my bed this night, wondering how I let her go. What more could I have done? Sleepless with the ocean’s roar, My mind surges with the waves. I look out the open window, Vainly searching with my eyes, for Rosarita on the shore. I go down to the beach, only moon and stars and sand. Lights in the misty distance, hold no hope or warmth for me. I reach into the darkness, there’s no one there to take my hand, Vainly yearning with my heart, for Rosarita by the sea. Rosarita holds my heart, despite all my thoughts and schemes. I have longed to hold her, for so long that now it seems, The only love that I will find, is Rosarita in my dreams. |
